I totally agree with you, 100 and 1% But, I have a question...
In as much as the remnants shouldn't just wait but act in faith. What if the waiting some are doing (like myself) is tarrying (in prayer and fasting) just as jesus told the disciples in the gospel of Luke, to tarry until they are clothed with power from on high?. That there are some individuals who shouldn't just jump in and begin acting out until they are filled in order to carry out God's will coz that's the ultimate goal.
But then am talking about the greater works (maybe)... However I do address matters I feel led by the spirit to. I guess God is still training me or?? I don't know. What you wrote is now making me confused (tho God is not a God of confusion) so what do you think about what I wrote above.. it's positive right?👉👈
You're asking the exact question every serious believer should ask. The difference between Luke 24:49 waiting and church taught passivity is massive.
The disciples tarrying had a specific endpoint, Pentecost. Clear instructions, defined timeline, promised empowerment. They weren't told to wait indefinitely while evil advanced unchallenged.
Here's the discernment test: Are you waiting for something specific (power, calling, clear direction) or are you waiting instead of something you already know to do? If the Spirit is genuinely training you for greater works, you'll know because:
The waiting includes preparation (prayer, study, character development) You're still addressing what He puts in front of you now
There's growing internal pressure, not comfortable stagnation
But if “waiting on God” has become code for avoiding uncomfortable obedience to what He's already shown you... that's the passivity trap.
The disciples didn't stop being disciples during their tarrying. They prayed, chose Matthias, stayed unified, prepared for what was coming. Active waiting, not spiritual hibernation.
Trust your discernment. If the Spirit is preparing you for something bigger, that preparation includes faithful action in smaller things now. Kingdom training never includes doing nothing.
Faith was never meant to be passive. James 2:17 and 2 Tim. 1:7 show it moves with courage, not fear. Our role isn’t to take judgment into our own hands but to live in Spirit-led obedience.
So glad Jesus Yeshua called me out of 'churches' bible Babel buildings devoid of His holy spirit power. As all they did & this was in the past was tell me off for sharing Heavenly Fathers holy spirit fire not out of control in me zealous for all the things of our heavenly father but with accurate knowledge. The only being that ever supported me upon the narrow path and in all He asked of me in this country the UK had been Heavenly father and that's the absolute truth. Just found out today with no surprises really that many UK 'churches' are now afraid to share the good news about Jesus with Muslims?!! It's laughable and so bizarre. I share the gospel and God's heavenly kingdom as Yeshua Jesus taught it with not only Muslims and in their own shops, with neighbours in my neighbourhood, community but at every opportunity as Yeshua leads. I'm certainly not passive at all, because heavenly father empowers and enables me to carry out all His will and purposes in so many various and creatine and different ways as well, & my faithfulness to beloved Yeshua cost me my own children. Heavenly Father blows me like the wind to whom He needs to and desires as His will to be done, not mine. To lovingly walk in and according to the spirit in humble obedience no matter what the cost to self life.

I enjoy reading your articulate articles! Thank you and God bless you!

Like you said, "faith is offensive," This statement is so true! If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:18.
I loved this post! You aren’t afraid to speak truth. Very well done!
Afraid of who? God’s people need to wake up and speak.
Thanks for clarity, thats just all I want to know
Clarity is priceless these days. God bless you.
Creative not creatine, obtuse autocorrect or possibly a typo many apologies, sorry.
